Philosophy

This practice is different by design: We remain small and independent so we can build our time around the concerns and needs of our patients. Here’s how our philosophy of care can work for you and your family.

Obstetrics

Planning. Great obstetrical care begins with our partnership. I’ll see you for every visit so we can build a relationship over time and plan your best birth experience.

Choice. You won’t give birth to dozens of babies over your lifetime, only a precious few. I’m here to make your delivery what you want it to be! You’ll always feel empowered to make the decisions that work best for your situation and values. You have choices: To have a vaginal birth after caesarian section (VBAC), to have your partner deliver your baby, or to deliver in any position that’s most comfortable for you.

Presence. Babies arrive when they choose to, not on my schedule. Part of my joy in providing obstetrical care is being there for your delivery: I deliver my patients’ babies more than 95 percent of the time.

Surgical Care

Clarity. Surgery is rarely the only option. I’ll discuss every available care path to you, including non-surgical therapies. Call me before or after surgery with any fears or questions. My line is always open for you.

Experience. I have more than 15 years of experience in perfecting my approach to minimally invasive surgery, including total laparoscopic hysterectomy. Every surgery I perform is focused on fixing your issue with the shortest possible recovery so you can get back to your life.

Technique. Surgeries without incisions — or without incisions, you can see — help you recover more quickly, both physically and emotionally. My goal is to make the traditional abdominal hysterectomy obsolete by incorporating laparoscopic and vaginal approaches for hysterectomy, prolapsed uterus, incontinence, bleeding, and pelvic pain.

Primary Care

Simplicity. I offer primary care because one provider who can address all of your health care needs makes life easier. We cover all aspects of your health, from fighting seasonal illnesses to making major life decisions.

Honesty. No topic is off limits in our office. Wellness means taking care of all of you, and you deserve to have your questions — whatever they may be — answered 24/7. I will never lecture you. My job is to offer you the best options for your own care.

Dedication. There is no magic pill or therapy out there. Great health takes time! I believe that if you exercise, reduce your stress, and be good to yourself, you’ll see results. If you need other therapies or services to address your concerns, we’ll connect you with high-quality practitioners who share our commitment to excellent service.
